Prep your furniture surface: remove hardware, clean, sand, clean again Apply primer and 2-3 coats of paint, sanding between each coat

Drill the new holes for the handles, if needed.

Cut the cane webbing to within an inch of the edge. Use books to flatten it if it's curled. Cut the trim pieces to size.

Pull the cane as tightly as you can. Glue the cane and trim, secure with a clamp.

Paint the drawer fronts.

Keep in mind that the cane will stretch out when it's wet, but it will tighten again once dry.

Add your new drawer pulls!
